Columbia
Council of Camera Clubs

Our club
is associated with the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs (4Cs).
The 4Cs is an organization consisting of photography/camera clubs
from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and northern California.
Each year
the 4Cs divides member clubs into three slide competition groups.
We participate with the clubs in our group in a regional competition.
Every
month Valley Viewfinders slide, color print and black & white
print chairpersons and their selection committees choose images
from the first and second place winners of our monthly competitions,
in both theme and open categories. These images are sent to the
4Cs club in our group that is judging slides or prints for that
month. The Valley Viewfinders Print and Slide Chairs may keep
the photos up to a full year or longer for the purpose of entering
them into various competitions, both regionally and nationally/internationally.
If at any time you wish to know the whereabouts of your photo
please ask the appropriate Chair. Learn
more about the 4Cs image competition rules.
The 4Cs
holds quarterly club representative meetings at varying locations.
Once a
year (usually in October) the 4Cs has an annual convention. The
purpose of the convention is to hold workshops and seminars, present
annual recognition awards, judge the year's top 80 slides, and
judge prints. After the convention most of your slides and prints
are returned to you. However, some slides and prints could be
out as long as 18-24 months from the time they were chosen as
club winners.
