a) Judge Valley Viewfinders Prints of the Year
b) PSA slide show - Getting Close to Nature
Nature subjects remain the favorite of many photographers. One
of the challenges for the photographer is to get successful
close-ups of some of the smaller natural subjects. Ed Hansbury
FPSA explains in this program how he does his nature close-ups
and what equipment and techniques have proven to be successful.
Ed says "Nature is all around us at all seasons, but until
you get down on your knees you really haven't seen how beautiful
nature can be." The presentation, helpful for both print
and slide makers, will inspire you to see what is available,
right in your own area.
c) PSA slide show - The Tyranny of the Rules
Presenter Irning A. J. Lawres, FPSA critiques the so-called
"Rules" often quoted by the judges of photographic
competitions, and challenges their univeral application to all
photos. Included in this program are examples of how the "Old
Master" bent the rules, yet produced classic works. The
programs will challenge judges to be more open to unconventional
photo compositions.
