Organizations Affiliated with Valley Viewfinders

Columbia Council of Camera Clubs (4Cs) is an organization consisting of photography/camera clubs from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and northern California.

Photographic Society of America (PSA) is a worldwide interactive organization for anyone interested in photography, be they casual or serious amateurs or professional photographers. PSA offers their individual, camera club, and council members a wide variety of activities: a monthly magazine, photo and digital competitions, study groups via mail and the internet, how-to programs, an annual conference, and a raft of other activities and services.

 

Pacific Northwest Photography Organizations

Nature Photographers of the Pacific Northwest (NPPNW). The primary purpose of the Nature Photographers of the Pacific Northwest (NPPNW) is to share information about nature and wildlife photography and thereby to promote the growth and development of its members. They meet twice a year, rotating meeting sites.

Northwest Council of Camera Clubs is a federation of camera clubs, not individuals, located in Washington and Canada. The intent of the NWCCC is to promote the advancement of photography as a science, recreation, art, and to encourage social contacts between all persons interested in photography.

Pacific Northwest Nature Photographers (PNWNP). We are a Regional Group of Nature Photographers Network (NPN), a worldwide online community of nature photographers. The regional group was founded to organize field outings and other informal gatherings. We organize several events each year in various locations around the Northwest.

North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) states it "is the first and only association in North America committed solely to serving the field of nature photography".

 

Artic and Antarctic Photography

Bryan & Cherry Alexander Photography Arctic and Antarctic Specialists. Over 100,000 images, mostly of Polar Regions make up their collection.

 

Butterflies

The Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon presents the Winged Wonders butterfly exhibit, May 21 through Labor Day, 2006.

The Pacific Science Center in Seattle, Washington has a year-round tropical butterfly house.

The San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers offers a butterfly exhibit from March 24, 2006 through October 29, 2006.

USA Public Butterfly Gardens is a listing of public butterfly gardens across the United States.

The Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington has a seasonal butterfly exhibit.
