Photo Essays

A photo essay is a sequence of images and music/narration that are related by a theme or common interest. The images may be the same subject (such as flowers or cars), or may follow the chronology of an event (a thunderstorm from beginning to end), or be related in another way. The essay may be pictorial, informative, instructional, or simply entertaining.

Photo essays are also called "slide shows", although the essays may be presented either digitally or with traditional slides.

Valley Viewfinders provides members the opportunity to present photo essays during club meetings. These essays may be entered into competitions organized by the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs.
